Canon has launched 3 new cameras , the $749 entry-level Rebel T7i; the $899 prosumer-focused 77D; and a new $779 mirrorless camera, the M6. All these cameras are slated to go on shelf in April sometime and the Indian Launch is Unclear.
First let’s talk about the entry-level Rebel series T7i , it replaces the T6i and is a big upgrade for the whole Rebel series with new dual pixel technology and 3-inch touchscreen. 77D is for people who want something better tahn rebel but don’t want to spend much for 80D . As usual it won’t be a big upgrade but just like 750D addition of a screen on top etc.
The main problem with these cameras are that they don’t support 4K even with the 77D and M6, though people are not shooting that much in 4K but in 2017 having a 4K camera is important as it will become future proof and 4K recording can be scaled down to 1080p to get better look.
Even Sony has a budget 4K camera but canon is still not ready to bring 4K to the budget segment. I have recently purchased a Canon 80D, so these launches will not affect me as Canon 80D is still the best DSLR camera for Semi-Pro users.
