Intel SSD 545s Launched, First SSD To Launch With 64-Layer 3D NAND

Intel, the name you may know for it’s processors has recently launched a new SSD called SSD 545s, what make it special is that it will be the first SSD to use 64-Layer 3D NAND flash storage.

According to Intel it results in High end performance at entry level price, essentially less cost, Intel is targeting people who want to upgrade to SSD for building a new PC. Sequential reads and writes are rated at 550MBps and 500MBps respectively, while 75,000 IOPS and 85,000 IOPS 4K reads and write respectively.

Power consumption is 4.5W. The SSD 545s is available only in 512GB and in the 2.5-inch SATA form factor for now, with models ranging from 128GB to 2TB will come later  It is priced at  $179.   ₹ 11,550 and has a five-year warranty.
