Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is currently the most sold smartphone of they year in India and now Xiaomi is all set to bring it’s successor the Redmi Note 5 . There is a listing on TENAA with model numbers MDT6 and MDE6 which is rumored to be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A.
The phone will come with a 5.5 inch HD display and an all metal design with curved edges. The Smartphone will be powered by the 1.4 GHZ Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Xiaomi will be using the Adreno 306 GPU here.
The smartphone houses a 3,000 mAh battery and will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 9 on top.It will come with a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. As it is the “A” model, specs are not that great and will be priced around ₹7,000-₹8,000 if launched in India. There are also high end model of the smartphone with comes with a fingerprint scanner and a 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant.
The high end mode will also have upgraded cameras with a 16 megapixel rear camera and a 13 megapixel front camera for taking selfies. The smartphones will be launched on 21st August in China and might not come to India. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for more updates.
