Google has introduced a new bounty program called Google Play Security reward program to help developers find out bugs and vulnerabilities in their apps available on Google’s Play store.
In this researchers will get reward for discovering problems in third party apps available in Google Play.Developers of popular apps are invited to apply for the program which will help them improving their app. Security is the main area where Google is looking for developers to fix. You can only participate if you are able and willing to respond to the researchers complaint and fix the bug by working with the researcher as soon as possible. For the researcher, you have to find the vulnerability and report it directly to the app developer.
Then both will work together and should fix the issue with 90 days and then report it to Google so that they can issue you the reward. For now popular apps like Snapchat, Tinder, Dropbox, Alibaba, Headspace, Duolingo, Line and Mail.ru are eligible for rewards. This list will expand with time.
