Xiaomi has finally launched the successor to it’s poplular entry level Redmi 4A smartphone called the Redmi 5A. The smartphone is priced at CNY 599 around ₹6000 and will be available for pre-order from Monday in China.
The smartphone sports a 5 inch HD display and houses a 3,000 mAh battery. It is powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD upto 128 GB. The smartphone is made up of plastic with a metal like matte texture, which feels like metal but is much lighter.
The dual sim smartphone (hybrid slot ) weighs at 137 grams. The fingerprint scanner is again omitted from the handset and it runs on Android Nougat with MIUI 9 on top. It comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and 5 megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
