Hey, whats-up guys welcome to the 48th episode of the tech updates. Xiaomi is all set to launch the next Redmi smartphone in India on 3oth November. We earlier believed it to be the Redmi Note 5 but now looking at some teasers we believe it would be the entry-level Redmi 5A which was recently launched in China at CNY 599 around ₹5,990.
Flipkart has also started teasing the smartphone as #OnlyOnFlipkart. The smartphone sports a 5 inch HD display and houses a 3,000 mAh battery. It is powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD up to 128 GB.
The Android Oreo 8.0 update has been started rolling out today for the HTC U11 unlocked version. This was officially announced by Mo Versi HTC, VP of product management, he said ” Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. The Oreo OS update will be available for download on the HTC u11 unlocked version starting on Monday! Enjoy!”. He also added that the company is working with Sprint to get the android Oreo update as soon as possible on the carrier model. (Xz, XZs
Samsung has launched another color variant of it’s popular Galaxy S8 smartphone. The new Burgundy Red color will be available in Korea starting today 28th November and will soon be launched in other select markets too. Honor has finally launched its next flagship smartphone called the Honor V10. The smartphone is priced at CNY 2,699 around ₹23,300 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant and CNY 2,999 around ₹29,300 for the 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The top end 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,499 around ₹34,200. All the variants are now available for pre-orders and the sale will start on 5th December in China. The smartphone is powered by the AI enabled Kirin 970 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU. It runs on Android Oreo out of the box with EMUI 8.0 on top and houses a 3,750 mAh battery. We don’t know what will Honor call it globally but it might launch on 5th December in London as Honor 9 Pro.
Huawei sub-brand Honor is all set to launch the successor of its popular Honor 6X smartphone in India on 5th December called the Honor 7X. You can watch the live stream below at 8 PM IST on 5th December. The smartphone will be an Amazon Exclusive and the sale will start at 12 PM, 7th December. The smartphone is powered by the 2.36Ghz Kirin 659 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and a Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. It comes with 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB of internal storage variants which can also be expanded via MicroSD up to 256GB.
Xiaomi will be launching a new series of smartphone feature an 18:9 aspect ratio display. As shown in the picture it will not be completely bezel-less from either side but will definitely have thinner bezels and will sport an all metal design. The smartphone will use USB Type-C for charging and data syncing and will be priced at CNY 1,499 around ₹14,499.
