Bitcoin Mining Website NiceHash Hacked, Over $60 Million Taken – CEO Apologizes

Cryptocurrency is on a boom these days, especially the popular Bitcoin digital currency which has now reached a value of close to $16,000. But as the digital currency is growing the threats to these different platforms are also growing.

Latest to get hacked is the popular Bitcoin mining website called NiceHash. It has lost around $64 million worth of Bitcoins in the hack, around ₹413 crores. On one side bitcoin is proving to be an amazing investment option and on the other side, these hacks are increasing as the currency is completely digital.

It’s CEO Marko Kobal and co-founder Sasha Coh apologized about the same via Facebook Live Stream. The live stream went on for 6 minutes where they said: ” Unfortunately, we became a target and someone really wanted to bring us down”.
