Earlier this month, Huawei sub-brand Honor launched its Honor Band A2 fitness band in India at a price of 2,499, though it is available at 2,249 at Amazon India. In this post let’s review the Honor Band A2 and have its water test.
Let’s start with build and design, The Honor Band A2 sports a 0.96-inch OLED touchscreen panel and comes with a rubber strap which is of good quality. Overall the band looks good and will go with any outfit. The band charges via this magnetic cradle and it takes around 1 and a half hour to charge completely.
It has a decent battery life of 7 and a half days. The band comes with a heart rate sensor which like any other budget fitness band is a hit or miss. The band connects to your smartphone via Huawei Wear app and can notify you of the app and call notifications. There is also an additional Huawei health app for better statistics.
You can read complete messages from WhatsApp and other services via the band and cut incoming calls via the band. You can search your smartphone via the band and set alarms too for the band. The band is sweat proof so few splashes of water won’t affect it but I won’t recommend you to take shower with the band. There are different modes available for walking, running and cycling which you can turn on to track your movements better.
Now coming to the main part, fitness tracking. Sadly the bad is not that accurate. It will not count steps while typing or driving but it shows almost 25% more steps than you have actually taken. Surprisingly the sleep data is more accurate So at a price of ₹2,249, I won’t recommend you to buy this band as there are much better options available at a lower price. And if you want me to compare it with the Mi band HRX edition let me know in the comments below.
