LG is all set to announce its new lineup of OLED TVs at CES this year. We have already told you about the 88-inch 8K panel, which will be showcased by LG at CES. Now the company has announced that all of its new TVs this year will come with Google Assistant support.
Till now, LG has used its webOS based operating system for its smart televisions that also included LG’s own voice assistant. But as we know Google Assistant is one of the virtual assistant available in the market and LG will be including them on its OLED and Super UHD LCD Displays lineup.
LG will be placing it under its ThinQ artificial intelligence branding which includes products like the smart speaker, smart lamps, washing machines etc. It will be using both ThinQ and Google assistant for better user experience in which ThinQ AI will handle tv specific tasks like searching, turning off etc.
And in some countries, Google Assistant will be there to handle all the queries that Google Assistant usually takes care of and will also help in connecting more smart home appliances. All of this will still run under webOS which has been liked by most of its users. Along with Google assistant LG is also introducing Alpha 9 image processing on these new televisions.
