Lenovo owned Moto is all set to reveal its 2018 lineup of smartphones next month at Mobile World Congress 2018. Moto is expected to launch the Moto X5 at MWC 2018 and other smartphones at a later date. Moto’s 2018 lineup has been leaked via renders including Moto G6, Moto Z3, and Moto X5.
Let’s start with Moto X5, According to the leaked marketing material via Droid-Life, Moto X5 will sport an 18:9 aspect ratio display and will ditch its fingerprint scanner which and on-screen navigation button in place of iPhone X-Like notch. Just like on iPhone X, gestures will be used to operate the device via this notch. It will sport a 5.9-inch Full HD+ 18:9 display
Moto is also expected to use recently showcases under-display fingerprint scanner by Qualcomm. It will also come with Face Unlock feature we have seen on Android smartphones like the OnePlus 5T. It will have dual front and back cameras for enhanced selfies and better bokeh enabled portrait mode photos. Moto will also use its Moto XP smart AI, it would be some artificial intelligence specific features.
Moto Z3 and Moto Z3 Play
Both the smartphones will sport a 6-inch Full HD+ 18:9 borderless display. The smartphone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, While the Snapdragon 845 is confirmed for Moto Z3 we don’t know if Moto will use the same processor for Moto Z3 Play.
It will also have the same single button/notch for navigation just like on the Moto X5 leaked render. Moto is also planning to launch a new Moto Mod that would enable 5G connectivity on the Moto Z3 and Z3 Play. We don’t know if this Moto mod will be able to provide 5G support to the Moto Z2 and Z2 play or not.
Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus
According to this marketing renders we have also got information about the Moto’s popular G lineup with Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus. The Moto G6 and G6 Plus will sport a glass back with curved edges just like we have seen with the Galaxy S6 Edge. Moto G6 is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 450 processor coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage.
It will sport a 5.7-inch Full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display and will sport a 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup at the back and a 16-megapixel sensor at the front. Moto G6 Plus will come with a 5.93-inch full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display and will be powered by the Snapdragon 630 processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Both the smartphones will have a fingerprint scanner at the front, just like its predecessor and will house a massive 4,000 mAh battery. The expected pricing of the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus is $240 around ₹15,300 and $330 around ₹21,000 respectively. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for more tech updates.
