After partnering with Saregama and Zee Music Company, Amazon has now partnered with one of the biggest music label in India called the Sony Music. Amazon Prime Music will come at no-additional-cost and Prime members can enjoy the new music streaming service for free.
According to Amazon, with this deal, Sony’s huge collection of tracks will be added to the Amazon Prime Music. Sony Music library comes with international artists like Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Martin Garrix, The Chainsmmokers etc and several iconic Bollywood albums like Ae Dil h Mushkil, Kuch Kuch Hota h, Kal ho na ho etc. It also consists of some Indian Pop Artists like Badshah, Hardy Sandhu etc.
“We are excited to collaborate with Sony Music to bring its vast and eclectic International and Indian catalog including new releases and hits across English, Hindi, Tamil and Punjabi languages for Prime members. Amazon Prime Music customers at launch will enjoy this selection ad-free and play anytime, anywhere with unlimited offline downloads,” said Sahas Malhotra, Director Amazon Music, India
Amazon is still saying that it will launch the service soon but have not given a time-frame for the launch. We hope Amazon India launches the service by mid-February and comes with a lot of good content to compete with services like Ganna and Saavan. Are you an Amazon Prime member?
