Asus ZenFone 5Z, ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5 Lite Launched at MWC 2018 – Price, Specifications

After many leaks and rumors, Asus has finally launched it’s ZenFone 5 Series at MWC 2018 in Barcelona. Asus has launched three new smartphones in the series called Asus ZenFone 5Z, Asus ZenFone 5, and Asus ZenFone 5 Lite. The top end Asus ZenFone 5Z is priced at EUR 479 around ₹38,400 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage variant.

The top end ZenFone 5Z comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, but Asus has not revealed the pricing of others. Similarly, Asus has not revealed the pricing of the Asus ZenFone 5 and Asus ZenFone 5 Lite. But talking about availability the ZenFone 5z (ZS620KL)  will be available in June, ZenFone 5 in April and ZenFone 5 Lite in March.

Asus ZenFone 5Z Specifications

The Asus ZenFone 5Z is powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. The smartphone comes with 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM variants with 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal storage respectively. It comes with a 6.2-inch full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with an iPhone X style notch. The notch here is smaller than the iPhone one.

It has 90% screen to body ratio and comes with Artifical Intelligence Engine. The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Asus ZenUi 5.0 on top. It comes with a dedicated microSD card slot (up to 256B) and houses a 3,300mAh battery. Coming to the vertical dual camera setup at the back, It comes with a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 83-degree field of view.

The secondary camera is of 8-megapixel with f/2.2 aperture and 120-degree wide angle lens. The softlight LED flash is just below the camera module and a fingerprint scanner besides it in the center. The front-facing camera is of 8-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree field of view for wider selfies. It also comes with the popular face unlock feature along with some beautification features.

Al the cameras support 3-axis EIS and the smartphone uses USB-type-C port for charging and data syncing. It comes with fast charging support with AI features. The smartphone will be available in Midnight Blue and Meteor Silver color variants.

Asus ZenFone 5 Specifications

The Asus ZenFone 5 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with Adreno 509 GPU. The smartphone comes with 4GB/6GB RAM variants with 64GB of internal storage only. The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Asus ZenUi 5.0 on top.

The other specifications are same as the Asus Zenfone 5Z.  The smartphone will be available in Midnight Blue and Meteor Silver color variants.

Asus ZenFone 5 Lite Specifications

The Asus ZenFone 5 Lite is powered by the latest Snapdragon 435/Snapdragon 630 processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. The smartphone comes with 3GB/4GB RAM variants with 32GB/64GB of internal storage respectively.  It comes with a 6. inch full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with 80.3% screen-to-body ratio.

The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Asus ZenUi 5.0 on top. The smartphone comes with a dual camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and 80-degree field of view. The secondary camera s of 8-megapixel with 120-degree wide angle lens. The camera comes with PDAF and comes with LED flash.

The front-facing camera is also dual camera setup with a 20-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 85.5-degree field of view. The secondary camera is of 8-megapixel with 120-degree wide angle lens for wider selfies.  The smartphone uses Micro-USB port for charging and data syncing.
