HMD Global owned Nokia has finally launched its first Android Oreo Go Edition smartphone called the Nokia 1. Nokia launched the device at an event held in Barcelona just ahead of MWC 2018. The Nokia 1 is priced at EUR 85 around ₹5,500, which is the average global retail price of the smartphone. The smartphone will be available in Dark Blue and Warm Red color variants starting April.
Nokia 1 is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor coupled with 1GB of LPDDR RAM. The smartphone comes with 8GB of internal storage, expandable via MicroSD up to 128GB. The budget smartphone sports a 4.5-inch FWGVA IPS display and houses a 2150mAh battery.
It runs on Android Oreo Go edition out of the box, which comes with pre-loaded Google Go apps and has a stock interface. Coming to the cameras the Nokia 1 comes with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with fixed focus and an LED flash. The front-facing camera is of 2-megapixel, which is also a fixed focus lens.
The Android Go smartphone uses micro USB port for charging and data syncing and supports 4G VoLTE. Nokia has also launched two Xpress-on covers for the device priced at $7.99 around ₹515. Nokia has launched Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6 2018 and the Nokia 8 Sirocco at the event. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for more tech updates.
