While we know the Samsung will launch the Samsung Galaxy S9 at MWC 2018 later this month, We don’t know what will LG present at the MWC this year. While there are many reports stating that the LG G6 successor LG G7 or whatever LG might end up calling it will not launch at MWC, We will definately see an upgraded LG V30 at the event.
As reported by GearBurn, CY Kim, Managing Director for LG South Africa, told reporters at an event that “We will introduce at MWC for V30… upgraded version (sic),” And that the LG G7 would be a “little bit late.” This is the safest way of saying that the LG G7 will be delayed and as LG had confirmed earlier, we would see a new name.
The upgraded LG V30 is expected to be called LG V30 + α or LG V30 Plus Alpha. The smartphone is powered by the 2.35GHz Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 540 GPU. It comes with 128GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD up to 2TB. LG V30 plus sports a 6-inch Quad HD+ FullVision OLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top.
The display also supports HDR10. Now coming to the best part of this smartphone it sports a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel lens with f/1.6 aperture and a 13-megapixel 120-degree wide angle lens with f/1.9 aperture. It comes with a 5-megapixel 90-degree front-facing camera for wider selfies and houses a 3,300mAh battery with Qualcomm quick charge 3.0 support.
It will run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Will buy the new LG V30 Plus Alpha smartphone? or will wait for the LG G6’s successor. Let us know in the comments below and Stay tuned to Sid Tech for more latest tech news, deals, reviews and much more.
