Xiaomi is all set to launch its most anticipated smartphone Redmi Note 5 in India on 14th Februry. Earlier this week we told you that Xiaomi India has started sending out press invites for an event on 14th February. The invite comes with a big “5” written, which might be the Redmi Note.
Now as according to report by Techhook, Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 5 at the event as they have found a couple of mentions about the device in the Websites source code. Xiaomi had added a timer on its event page for the launch event and has mentioned Redmi Note 5 in the source code as well as in the url of the tease image.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will have thinner bezels and will sport a dual camera setup. This 18:9 display comes with thinner top and bottom bezels. At the back, you can see a vertical dual camera setup and a fingerprint scanner just below it. According to previous leaks, the smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P25 processor and maybe Snapdragon 630 for India.
Where MediaTek will note be available. It will be available in three variants 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, 3GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage and 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The Redmi Note 5 will sport a 5.65 inch Full HD + Display and rear fingerprint scanner just below the expected vertical dual camera setup.
Though the listing on TENAA shows a single camera setup and a dual camera setup at the front for selfies.The smartphone is expected to start at CNY 1,299 around ₹12,499 and will be available in Black and Gold color variants. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for more tech updates.
