Nokia 1 Android Go Smartphone Launched in India – Price, Specifications, Availability

HMD Global owned Nokia launched the first Android Go Edition smartphone last month at MWC 2018. The Android Oreo 8.1 Go edition smartphone, Nokia 1 is now finally available for sale in India. The smartphone is priced at ₹5,499 and is available via offline and online stores across the country.

Nokia 1 is available in Dark Blue and Warm Red color variants starting April. Also, Reliance Jio’s smartphones offer is applicable here too with which you get a cashback of ₹2,200. With this, you will get 60GB of additional data and makes the effective price of Nokia 1 to be ₹3,299.

Nokia 1 is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor coupled with 1GB of LPDDR RAM. The smartphone comes with 8GB of internal storage, expandable via MicroSD up to 128GB. The budget smartphone sports a 4.5-inch FWGVA IPS display and houses a 2150mAh battery.

It runs on Android Oreo Go edition out of the box, which comes with pre-loaded Google Go apps and has a stock interface. Coming to the cameras the Nokia 1 comes with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with fixed focus and an LED flash. The front-facing camera is of 2-megapixel, which is also a fixed focus lens.

The Android Go smartphone uses micro USB port for charging and data syncing and supports 4G VoLTE. Nokia has also launched two Xpress-on covers for the device priced at ₹450 available in Azure and Grey or Yellow and Pink color variants. Android Go edition smartphones are focused on first-time smartphone users and with Nokia’s build quality and service, Nokia 1 seems a good smartphone.
