Ever since Apple launched iPhone X last year, There have been many leaks and rumors of an iPhone SE 2 with iPhone X like notch. iPhone SE was the cheapest iPhone ever and now with the iPhone SE 2 Apple will try to bring a cheaper iPhone X which might be not called the iPhone SE 2.
Apple might launch the smartphone as iPhone X SE or just as a smaller variant of iPhone X. The smartphone has now been leaked in some exclusive renders by BGR. This new 2018 iPhone X will sport an LCD panel instead of the OLED in the original variant. To cut down the cost Apple will remove many of the premium features.
Overall it will look like the original iPhone SE but will have an 18:9 aspect ratio edge-to-edge display. It will sport an iPhone like notch and will ditch the fingerprint scanner embedded home button. As there is no physical button it will rely on gestures to navigate through the UI and perform all other functions.
As there is no touch ID here, Apple will have its facial recognition feature called Face ID. The notch will have all the sensors required for face ID to work. There will be no headphone jack on the iPhone SE 2018 and will come with an Aluminum frame. Just like every other iPhone, it will use the lightning port for charging and a single loudspeaker at the bottom.
We are not sure if it will have a glass back to support wireless charging or not. Apple is expected to announce the smartphone at WWDC 2018 in June. The company is also expected to launch a new entry-level MacBook and new iPads at the event. As these are just renders please take this information with a pinch of salt.
