Lenovo is all set to launch a new flagship smartphone on 20th March in China. Lenovo stopped making flagship smartphones after 2018 and concentrated on budget smartphones. The company also concentrated more on Moto branded device but now Lenovo is all set to launch its S5 smartphone on 20th March.
Chang Cheng, from Lenovo, posted an invite for the upcoming 20th March launch event. Though the company did not mention the smartphone, but the post was published via a Lenovo S5 smartphone. Also if you look at the invite you can see Lenovo mentioning S branding which denoted its flagship series.
Looks like the Chinese company will ditch its Vibe branding in the new smartphone but will run on its own ZUK UI. If you don’t know, Last year Lenovo decided to go for stock android for its global smartphones. So we can expect the smartphone to come with stock UI for the global variant.
Cheng had previously posted photos of a smartphone with a reflective metal body and curved edges. This is believed to be the Lenovo S5. The smartphone is expected to sport an 18:9 aspect ratio display and according to the rumors, it will house a massive 6,000mAh battery. As there no confirmation about the specifications, take this with a pinch of salt.
We can expect Lenovo to price it in the mid-range segment and come with Snapdragon 600 series of processors coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Dual rear camera setup and VR capabilities are also expected. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for latest tech news, deals, and reviews.
