Xiaomi is the No 1. wearable brand in the world and it is mainly because of its popular Mi Band series. It is way above the premium brands like Apple and Fitbit and even brands like Lenovo and Intex who sells cheaper bands are not anywhere new Xiaomi.
After launching Mi Band, Mi Band 2 and Mi Band HRX Edition (India), the Chinese company is all set to launch the Mi Band 3 later this year. As reported by Chinaz, This was officially announced by Huami Technology CEO Huang Wang, for those of you who don’t know Huami is a sub-brand of Xiaomi, making wearable products.
Yesterday, Huami held is media communication meeting where Wang said that this year will surely release the millet bracelet 3 or as popularly known as Mi Band 3. Now talking about the band, according to some previous leaks, the Mi Band 3 has passed the Bluetooth certification and it will come with Bluetooth 4.2.
Just like the previous version it will come with an OLED display and will be able to connect to both iOS and Android smartphones. One of the highest selling points of Mi Band series is its awesome battery life and we think Xiaomi will continue to deliver that 2-3 weeks of battery life.
If they want to keep that battery life they will have to use the normal heart rate sensor instead of the continuous one found on many other fitness bands. But having this also enables Xiaomi to price it competitively at around ₹30 or ₹1,990. What do you want from Mi Band 3, more features or that awesome pricing and battery life?
