Last week, we told you that Google is all set to launch its Google Home and Google Home Mini smart speakers in India on 10th April 2018. Now Indian e-commerce website Flipkart has started teasing the launch of the Google assistant enabled speakers.
As Amazon is already selling its Echo lineup of speakers in India, Google Home, and Home mini might be Flipkart exclusive for the online sales. The speakers will also be available via electronic retail chains like Croma, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales.
Once again we can only see the Google Home and Google Home mini in the teaser banners. Looks like we will have to wait some more to see the Google Home Max in India. Coming to the pricing, Google Home Mini will be priced at ₹4,499 in India whereas as the original Google Home will be priced at ₹9,999.
Google Home speakers will compete against Amazon’s Echo and Echo Do speakers. Till now due to no competition, Amazon Echo has been the only choice for Indian consumers. It will be interesting to see what will Google launch in terms of software along with two AI speakers.
Google’s Google assistant AI has been pretty good in India and as we know Google Home is powered by the Google Assistant, therefore we can see some good India specific features. Amazon Echo and Echo dot smart speakers are also priced at the same price, but Amazon launched both the speakers at a discounted price. Let’s see If Google will also launch the speakers with some good offers, maybe via the Google Tezz App. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for more tech updates.
