Nokia 6 2018, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 8 Sirocco India Launch Today – How To Watch Live Stream

HMD Global owned Nokia launched three new Android smartphones last month at MWC 2018. The Nokia 6 2018, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco are expected to launch today, 4th April 2018, in India. We expect Nokia to launch the Nokia 2018 today as they recently had a price cut on Nokia 6 2017.

The HMD Global event will take place in New Delhi at 12:00 Noon IST. As usual, Nokia will live stream the event via its Facebook Page. We will embed the live stream below as soon as we have the link for the same. All the three smartphones are part of the Google’s Android One program and will get guaranteed Android updates for next 2 years.

 

Nokia 6 2018 Specifications

The smartphone comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD display and is powered by the Snapdragon 630 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage expandable via micro SD up to 128GB. The smartphone sports a 16 Megapixel really camera with f/2.0 aperture and house a 3,000 mAh battery.

Nokia 6 2018 comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It will come with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with Android Oreo update coming soon. It is priced at €191 around ₹14,600 for the 32GB variant and €216 around ₹16,500 for the 64GB variant.

We expect a similar pricing in India, about ₹14,999 for the 32GB variant and ₹16,999 for the 64GB variant. Nokia had already dropped the price of Nokia 6 2017 in India. It will face a tough competition from the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and the upcoming Moto G6 series.

Nokia 7 Plus Specifications

The Nokia 7 Plus sports a 6-inch full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with latest Gorilla Glass protection on top. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD card up to 256GB.

It comes with a dual camera setup at the back with a 12-megapixel wide-angle primary sensor with f/1.75  aperture. The secondary camera is of 13-megapixel with f/2.6 aperture. These will be Carl Zeiss lenses and will come with 2X optical zoom. It comes with dual tone LED flash and sports a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

 It is a fixed focus camera with a f/2.0 aperture and again Zeiss optics. The smartphone runs on the stock version of Android Oreo out of the box and as it is an android one device will be getting the regular security and major updates for the next two years. The smartphone houses a 3,800mAh battery and comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.

Nokia 8 Sirocco

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It comes with 128GB of internal storage and there is no option for the expandable storage. The Nokia 9 Sirocco sports a 5.5-inch QHD pOLED display with 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top.

Just like every other new Nokia smartphone from Nokia 3 and above, the new Nokia 8 is an Android One smartphone. This means that the smartphone will receive all the major updates directly from Google. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with a stock interface and comes with a rear placed fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone is made out of stainless steel with a curved glass finish. According to HMD Global, it is 2.5 times stronger than the 6,000 series aluminum used in the original Nokia 8. It comes with a dual camera setup at the back with a 12-megapixel wide-angle primary camera with f/1.75 aperture and a 13-megapixel telephoto camera with f/2.6 aperture.

You can get a 2x optical zoom with this telephoto lens. The dual camera setup is by Zeiss optics and comes with dual-tone LED flash. The smartphone sports a 5-megapixel fixed focus sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for more tech updates.
