After many leaks and rumours, Xiaomi has finally launched its popular Mi 6X smartphone in China. The smartphone is priced at starting price CNY 1599 around ₹17,000. It is available in Black, Red, Blue Pink and Gold colour variants. We can expect Xiaomi to launch the smartphone soon in India as the Mi A2 with Android One.
Xiaomi Mi 6X is powered by a 2.2Ghz Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. In terms of memory, it comes with 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM/64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM/128GB of internal storage variants.
The smartphone sports a 5.99-inch LCD 18:9 aspect ratio full HD+ display. Following the popular dual camera trend from its predecessor, Mi 6X sports a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture and a 20-megapixel secondary sensor for the portrait mode and better low light performance.
The same 20-megapixel camera is present at the front of the smartphone for selfies and video calling. Overall the camera on Mi 6X comes with many AI enhancements for better low light performance. The front-facing camera also supports the popular face unlock feature along with a rear placed fingerprint scanner in the middle.
Mi 6X runs on the latest Android Oreo 8.1 with MIUI 9.5 on top. Interestingly the smartphone also comes with the Google’s project treble support which means faster updates. It houses a 3,010mAh battery and comes with support for Quick Charge 3.0. We hope Xiaomi will launch the smartphone soon in India as an Android One smartphone.
