After redesigning Gmail, Google has now rolled out an update to re-design Google Drive. Gmail received a fresh revamp last month and now it is Google Drive’s turn. People around the world are liking the new Gmail UI but unlike the new Gmail interface, Google drive comes with no change in functionality.
Only some icons and buttons have been moved to match the Google’s latest material design. Google says that it has created “a responsive and efficient experience for Drive users, and to feel cohesive with other G Suite products, such as the recently redesigned Gmail.”
Coming to the changes, The company logo on the top left has been changed to Google Drive Logo. And the company logo has been moved to top right. The settings icon and the help centre icon is now in line with the search bar. The background colour is now white to match the new material UI.
The “New” button has been updated and it looks really good. Google has also changed the font used for the headers. The new redesigned UI will be available to all the G Suite Editions. It will roll out to all the new users over the next few days. Stay Tuned to Sid Tech for more tech updates.
