HTC is all set to launch the HTC U12+ smartphone on 23rd May 2018. While leaks and rumours about the smartphone kept on coming, now we have the complete specifications as well as the leaked photos of the smartphone.
Popular and trusted tipster Evan Blass tweeted the leaked photos as well as the specifications of the smartphone. The HTC U12+ comes with a 6-inch quad-HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with top and bottom bezels. The fingerprint scanner is placed at the back just below the dual horizontal camera setup.
The smartphone is powered by a 2.6Ghz Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD up to 2TB. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with HTC Sense UI on top.
It will also come with the HTC Edge Sense 2, it let you squeeze your smartphone to open apps and control your smartphone. Coming to the camera, U12+ will sport a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel wide angle lens and a 16-megapixel telephoto lens.
It will come with 2x optical zoom, 10x digital zoom, dual LED flash, ultra speed autofocus 2, OIS, portrait mode, hyperlapse, slo-mo and much more. There is a dual camera setup at the front too with two 8-megapixel wide angle lenses with 84-degree field of view.
The HTC smartphone will come with the popular face unlock feature too and the rear camera can record videos in 4K. The device will use USB-Type C for charging and data syncing and houses a 3500mAh battery. It will support both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
In terms of connectivity, it comes with Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 4G VoLTE, Dual-band WiFi, and NFC. In terms of specs, the smartphone looks solid, let’s hope HTC will price it well especially in India. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for more tech updates.
