After completing changing the India telecom sector, Reliance Jio is now all set to shake the broadband market in India. Jio has been working on the Jio Fiber since 2o16 and has been conducting tests around different cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad etc.

According to a report by Mint, a person familiar with the Jio Fiber development told that though Reliance has not defined any tariffs yet, the Jio broadband service will be available under ₹1,000/month. The Reliance Fiber net will come with unlimited calling via Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).

Currently, the limited test subscribers are getting unlimited data at a speed of 100Mbps against a security deposit of ₹4,500. All the Jio Fiber broadband plans will come with at least 100Mbps speed, unlimited calling and Jio TV service. This will make Jio TV a big threat to competitors like Airtel TV and even Amazon Prime Video.

We can expect Reliance to launch the service by the end of the year. Just like with Reliance Jio we expect Reliance to offer some launch offers to its customers like 3 months free data for free 100GB additional data. Looks like Reliance will drop another bomb this Diwali and competitors like Airtel needs to take action before that.
