While we all are well aware of the Moto G, X, Z and E series of smartphones, Lenovo owned Moto has launched a new smartphone called Moto 1S. Motorola has launched the smartphone in China and is priced at CNY 1,499 around ₹15,900.
The smartphone is now available in China via Lenovo’s online store and Motorola stores in China. We don’t know about the global availability and Moto has not even launched the Moto G6 and E5 series of smartphones in India yet.
Moto 1s is available in Victoria Blue and Charlotte Powder colour variants. The smartphone is powered by a 1.8Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage expandable via microSD up to 128GB.
The dual-SIM moto smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Lenovo’s ZUI 3.5 skin on top. Looks like Lenovo is trying to use Moto’s brand name to sell smartphones in China and it should be a China exclusive.
In terms of camera, Moto 1s sports a dual camera setup at the back with a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/.8 aperture. The secondary camera is of 5-megapixel and comes with a f/2.2 aperture. It comes with all the regular features like portrait mode, B/W mode, time-lapse etc.
The device comes with a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and houses a 3,000mAh battery. The Moto 1s also comes with Dolby audio technology and splash proof coating for water resistance. We don’t want Moto to launch this smartphone in India especially with ZenUI on top.
