Lenovo owned Motorola is all set to launch a new smartphone, different than its usual X, Z and G series of smartphones. This new Motorola One Power will be the first Moto smartphone to come with an iPhone-X like display notch at the top.
As reported by Android Headlines, with the Motorola One Power, the company is bringing back its Motorola branding instead of the current Moto branding. The One here denotes the Android One programme. Motorola has recently been bad when it comes to software updates and bringing in an Android One smartphone is the right move.
Now coming to the notch, as you can see in the leaked images, the notch here seems to be wider than that on OnePlus 6 or other Android smartphones. This might be because of the extra sensors to bring the 3D facial recognition system like on iPhone X.
Xiaomi is also bringing a wider notch for the 3D facial recognition system on the Xiaomi Mi 8. There are thin bezels all around the 18:9 aspect ratio display and Motorola branding at the bottom chin. There is a dual vertical camera setup at the back with a LED flash in the middle.
Seems like the fingerprint scanner has been embedded into the Motorola logo at the back. We don’t know anything about the specifications of the smartphone and as Motorola is launching the Moto Z3 Play in early June we can expect it to be launched in July 2018.
