HMD Global owned Nokia is all set to launch its first smartphone with a notch at the top. In 2018, we have seen many companies adopting the iPhone X’s notch style design and Nokia is that latest one to follow. The smartphone will launch on 16th May 2018 in China.
The Chinese retailer, suning.com, shared a teaser image which shows off the Nokia X design. Starting with the front, there is an 18:9 aspect ration display along with a small notch at the top. The notch houses the earpiece and front-facing camera. There is also a small bottom bezel which has the Nokia branding.
Moving to the back, Nokia X will come with a vertical dual rear camera setup in the middle along with the LED Flash. Below the rear camera module, there is a circular fingerprint scanner. We expect Nokia to also bring the popular face unlock feature on the Nokia X.
As it comes with glass to the front and back we can expect wireless charging support too. According to a report by ITHome, Nokia X will start at CNY 1,600 around ₹16,900. In terms of specifications, 4GB or 6GB RAM with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage configurations are expected. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for latest tech updates.
