Xiaomi has finally launched its much awaited Mi Band 3 fitness band in China. The Mi Band 3 is priced at CNY 169 around ₹1,800, the NFC version of the Mi Band 3 is priced at CNY 199 around ₹2,100 and will be available in September. We hope to see the normal variant soon in India.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 comes with a 0.78-inch capacitive OLED display which is larger than the one found on Mi Band 2. Just like the other Mi Band models, it will show incoming call, text messages, steps take, time, date and hear rate count. This time you can also reject calls via the Mi Band 3.
It comes with a heart rate sensor at the back and Xiaomi says it has improved the pedometer as well as the sleep tracking. The band comes with a 110mAh battery which Xiaomi claims to give around 20 days of battery life. Battery life has always been good on the Mi band series.
The band comes with Bluetooth 4.2 LE for connectivity and can be connected to an iOS or Android smartphone via the Mi Fit app. The NFC version of the band can be connected just with a tap and can be used for payment functionality in China.
The Mi band 3 is also water resistant up to 5 ATM or 50 meters deep in water. The band will also remind you if you are sitting for too long. There is no need for the NFC variant outside china, so we can expect Xiaomi to launch the Mi Band 3 soon in India at a price of around ₹1,999.
