Xiaomi Mi Note 5 Leaked – Might Launch on 31st May, Price, Specifications

Xiaomi is holding a big launch event on 31st May in China to celebrate its 8-year anniversary. While we already know about the Xiaomi Mi 8 and MIUI 10 launch, Xiaomi might launch its Mi Note 5 smartphone at the event. According to the latest leaks, Xiaomi will launch a mid-range smartphone along with the Mi 8.

As reported by GizChina, a marketing material of a Xiaomi made Mi Note 5 has been leaked via Chinese social media. The material reveals the key specifications as well as the price of the upcoming smartphone. Xiaomi Mi Note 5 is priced at CNY 2229 around ₹24,500.

As per the previous leaks, Xiaomi Mi 8 will start around ₹29,990. Mi Note 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It will come with a 5.9-inch Full Screen 2.0 18:9 aspect ratio bezel-less display.

While there are no details about the camera specifications, it is listed to come with 4-axis optical stabilization support. Xiaomi has big plans for the May 31st event as there are many rumours suggesting that Xiaomi will also launch its popular Mi Band 3 fitness band.

Xiaomi Mi band is much awaited by Mi Fans around the world and company’s 8th anniversary is the right time. The company has already opened registrations for the beta testers of the MIUI 10. Lastly, Xiaomi might also finally launch its much-awaited Surge S2 chip.

The chip was supposed to be launch at MWC 2018 but due to some problems, it didn’t happen. Then there was a strong probability that the Xiaomi Redmi S2 will launch with Surge S2 chip due to the naming and again it didn’t happen. So we can expect the Surge S2 launch at the event.
