HMD Global owned Nokia has been doing really good in providing software updated for its software. Next one to join the line is the entry level Nokia 2. HMD Global has announced the Android 8.1 Oreo Beta for its Nokia 2 smartphone.
HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas tweeted “New on
#Nokiamobile Beta Labs! #Nokia2 joins the #AndroidOreo party. Join us now #nokiamobilebetalabs to be the first to the test it!”. Nokia 2 was launched in in India last year at a price of ₹6,999.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.3Ghz Snapdragon 212 processor coupled with Adreno 304 GPU. and will come with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Nokia 2 is made out of 6,000 series aluminum and sports a 5 inch HD display with gorilla glass 3 protection on top.
The smartphone houses a massive 4,100 mAh battery which can give up to 2 days of battery life. The smartphone will come with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It was launched Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and now the Android 8.1 Oreo is coming soon for the public.
