Search engine giant, Google is all set to launch its own Gaming platform to take on market leaders Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox. Google is working on a three their gaming platform which will be a game streaming service like GeForce Now, A hardware console and lastly bringing all big game studios under one roof.

As reported by Kotaku, Google has been in talks with Gaming Studios and met many game developers at E3 2018 a few weeks ago. This new gaming service/platform is internally known as Yeti. First of all talking about the streaming service, Google Yeti will be like Nvidia GeForce Now that will let you play high end games from any device. All you need is a good internet connection and all the computation power will be provided by Google via its cloud service.

Google is not just looking at cheap PC’s ability to play high end games, the company is also working on the ability to pay high-end games via your smartphones. We can also expect Google to integrate Yeti with YouTube Gaming, which will give YouTube gamers many exclusive features and a seamless integration.

Coming to the hardware, the report says we are not sure if it will be a high end gaming console like the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 Pro or just a hardware to support its Yeti streaming service. We would definitely want to see a Xbox/PlayStation competitor but a cheap low-end hardware to support Yeti is also not bad.

The report did not revealed its sources but Google has given many hints that it would like to get into the gaming space. Earlier this year, Google hired former PlayStation and Xbox executive, Phil Harrison. Google is also investing a lot on its AR technology for AR gaming.
