Lenovo Z5 Launch Today – 4TB Storage, True Bezel-Less Display and More

Share

Lenovo is all set to launch its next premium smartphone called the Lenovo Z5. If the claims Lenovo is making in its teaser about the smartphone are true, it could be the most successful Lenovo smartphone ever. The smartphone will launch today at 2pm China Local Time (11:30am IST) at China Film Director Center in Beijing.

First let’s talk about that display which lenovo claims to have 95% screen-to-body ratio, highest on any smartphone. The teaser image shows no display notch and no bezel at all. According to some renders, Lenovo will go the Xiaomi route and have the front-facing camera at the bottom with a very thin bezel.

Again just like the Mi Mix series it will let go the speakers and will produce sound via the front glass. There is also a possibility of an in-display fingerprint scanner but as the company has not teased it we expect a rear placed fingerprint scanner.

At the back Lenovo Z5 will come with an AI-based dual-camera setup. Lenovo claims a standby time of 45 days om the Lenovo Z5 and up to 4TB of storage. We know giving physical 4TB storage on a smartphone is right now impossible so we can expect Lenovo to go the cloud route.

We have seen smartphone companies in past giving free cloud storage with the smartphone. So we can expect 128GB/256GB of internal storage along with cloud storage of up to 4TB. On paper the smartphone looks desirable but lets see how much of these claims are true and how well Lenovo will price it. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for latest tech news, deals, reviews and more.
