MIUI 10 To Launch in India on 7th June – Eligible Devices

Yesterday, Xiaomi had its biggest launch event in China on the occasion of company’s 8th year anniversary. Along with some new hardware, Xiaomi also launched its latest UI called the MIUI 10. While this was a china only launch event, Xiaomi is all set to launch the MIUI 10 in India on 7th June.

Xiaomi is already hosting an event on 7th June in New Delhi to launch the Redmi Y2 or as called in China Redmi S2. Now Xiaomi has started teasing MIUI 10 India launch via its social media platforms. MIUI India tweeted a GIF of MIUI 10 writing Coming Soon #FullScreenExperience.

As the MIUI 9 was launched in India with the Redmi Y1, Redmi Y2 will bring the MIUI 10. But don’t get too happy just yet as like always it will be just the launch. You will get the MIUI 10 stable version on your smartphones by Q4 2018 (expected) and Global beta version by July or August.

This is because in China also there is closed beta programme going on and the stable release will be later this year. The smartphones eligible for the MIUI 10 Chinese closed beta ROM are Mi 8, Mi Mix 2S, Mi Mix 2, Mi Mix, Mi 6X, Mi 6, Mi 5, Mi Note 2, Redmi S2, and Redmi Note 5.

These devices will get the public beta by the end of June. In late July other devices will get the public beta of the Chinese ROM, other devices include  Mi Note 3, Mi 5X, Mi 5c, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi 4, Mi 4c, Mi 4S, Mi Max 2, Mi Max, Redmi 5, Redmi 5A, Redmi 5 Plus, Redmi 4, Redmi 4A, Redmi 4X, Redmi 3S/ Redmi 3X, Redmi Pro, Redmi Note 5A, Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm/ Redmi Note 4X, Redmi Note 4 (MediaTek), and Redmi Note 3 (Qualcomm).

MIUI 10 comes with some great features like AI portrait mode, which will let you take photos with Bokeh or depth effect on any MIUI 10 running smartphone without the need of a dual camera setup. Xiaomi has made the overall UI faster and as they are teasing it , MIUI 10 comes with full-screen gesture support to navigate through the UI.
