After launching the Nokia 2.1, Nokia 5.1 and the Nokia 3.1, HMD global is all set to launch another budget smartphone called the Nokia 5.1 Plus. The smartphone has been leaked before and now it has been listed on the Chinese certification website TENNA.
According to the TENNA listing, Nokia 5.1 Plus will be powered by a 2.0 Ghz unnamed octa-core processor coupled with 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. We can expect a MediaTek processor for china and the Snapdragon 636 processor for the rest of the world.
The smartphone has been listed with model number TA-1109. The photos on TENNA matches with the previous leaked CAD renders and confirms the display notch. It will sport a 5.86-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with 2.5D curved glass protection on top.
Just like any other Nokia smartphone, it will be an Android One smartphone running on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The Chinese variant will come with Nokia’s own UI on top. There is a dual-rear camera setup at the back with a 13-megapixel primary sensor.
The front-facing camera is of 8-megapixel and is expected to come with Face Unlock and portrait selfie mode. The Nokia 5.1 Plus will be available in Blue, Black and White color variants and will come with a rear placed fingerprint scanner. It houses a 3,000mAh battery and comes with fast charging support.
The Nokia 5.1 Plus will compete with smartphones like the Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Moto X4. HMD Global is also expected to launch the Nokia 3.1, Nokia 2.1 and the Nokia 5.1 in India next month. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for latest tech news, deals, reviews and more.
