HMD Global owned Nokia has already announced the 2018 variants of the Nokia 2, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 called Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1 and the Nokia 5.1 respectively. Now the company is all set to launch its second smartphone with a display notch called the Nokia 5.1 Plus.
OnLeaks and Tiger Mobiles has teamed up to produce some 360-degree CAD renders of the upcoming Nokia 5.1 Plus. The smartphone comes with a wide display notch the top like on iPhone X and Xiaomi Mi 8. But there are bezls-all around and especially a thick bottom bezel with Nokia branding.
The notch comes with the front-facing camera, earpiece and your usual sensors. At the back there is a dual-vertical camera setup in the middle with a LED flash. The circular fingerprint scanner can be found at the back just below the dual camera setup.
The smartphone is made out of metal and comes with USB Type-C port for charging and data syncing. The smartphones looks like a significant upgrade over the Nokia 5.1 which comes with a 16:9 display, micro USB and a single rear camera setup.
We don’t know anything else about the smartphone yet but we can expect it to come with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage variants. The Nokia 5.1 is priced around 14,800 globally and we can expect Nokia 5.1 Plus to be around ₹17,800. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for latest tech news, deals, reviews and more.
