Nokia 9 aka A1 Plus With In-Display Fingerprint Scanner To Launch At IFA 2018

HMD Global owned Nokia has already launch a bunch of smartphones this year, including their first smartphone with a display notch and Face Unlock called the Nokia X6. Another popular technology in 2018 is the In-Display fingerprint scanner and Nokia is all set to launch it with their next flagship called the Nokia 9.

The smartphone is called Nokia A1 Plus internally and might be launched as Nokia A1 Plus only in some markets. According to a report by WinFuture, HMD Global is working on a flagship smartphone called the Nokia A1 Plus and has partnered with Foxconn to manufacture the smartphone for the European Market.

The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor coupled and will come with an In-Display fingerprint scanner. It will come with an LG made OLED panel and as there an under display fingerprint scanner we can expect a notch display.

It will run on Android P out of the box and the smartphone is expected to be launched at IFA 2018. The company had to delay the smartphone due to some problems with the camera module. If this Nokia A1 Plus is indeed the Nokia 9, then we know more about the smartphone.

The Nokia 9 will come with 8GB of RAM and up to 256Gb of internal storag. It will sport a 6.01-inch 18:9/19:9 aspect ratio display with Gorilla Glass 5 Protection on top. The smartphone is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup with 41-megapixel, 20-megapixel and 9.7-megapixel lens.

It will come with Carl Zeiss optics and up to 4X Zoom. Nokia 9 will house a 3,900mAh battery and will use USB Type -C for charging and data syncing. Overall it looks like a solid offering from the Nokia. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for latest tech news, deals, reviews and more.
