Sony XAV-AX5000 With Android Auto, Apple CarPlay Launched in India

Sony has launched its latest in car audio system in India called the Sony XAV-AX5000. Launched at CES 2018, Sony XAC-AX500 is priced at ₹24,990 and is available via the Car Accessories shops across the country. The Sony India’s official website is currently showing it coming soon but it is now available offline.

The Sony in-car AV Receiver comes with a 6.95-inch capacitive touch-screen display and a new sleek design to easily fit in your dash. The system supports both Android Auto and the Apple CarPlay platforms this means you get all the smart features you get via these two platforms.

For Android users, you can use Android Auto to get directions, use voice actions, play music, and in-maps search for nearby stops. Unlike Android Auto, Apple CarPlay currently doesn’t supports its own Apple Maps in India therefore you cannot use it for directions.

But iPhone users can connect their smartphone can accept and end calls, send and receive messages and listen to music via the Son’y new dashboard system. Sony says it comes with a new quick wake up design, which means it can power on with almost double speed as compare to the other products.

Sony claims Sony XAV-AX5000 as soon as you hit ignition. The receiver will also show you the rear camera of the car as soon as you shift your vehicle in to the reverse gear. The car system comes with 2-USB ports, and 3 pre-out connectivity with a sub-woofer, a mono amplifier and 4-channel amplifier.
