After Vivo X21 and Vivo Apex, Chinese manufacturer Vivo is all set to launch to launch a completely bezel-less smartphone called the Vivo Nex. While there have been a few leaks and rumours about the smartphone, Vivo has now officially confirmed the name and launch date.
Vivo has posted a teaser image of Vivo Nex launch on its official Weibo account. The launch event will take place on 12th June 2018 in Shanghai, China. Vivo Nex will be a top of the line smartphone and will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Vivo will also launch another variant of the smartphone called Vivo Nex S which will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 710 processor. Yesterday, Xiaomi launched world’s first smartphone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor called the Mi 8 SE.
Lenovo, another Chinese manufacturer is all set to launch a similar smartphone on 5th June 2018 called the Lenovo Z5. We already to know the Vivo Nex will have an in-display fingerprint scanner but to get that bezel-less display you need to get rid of the front camera too.
Vivo has already done by putting a popup camera in the Vivo Apex, but that was just a concept phone and we might see Vivo Nex as the first commercial smartphone to use that technology. In other solution, Vivo might go the Xiomi Mi Mix series route and place the front camera at the bottom bezel. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for latest tech news, deals, reviews and much more.
