Vivo NEX With Pop-Up Selfie Camera Launched – Price, Specifications Features

After many leaks, rumors and wait, Vivo has finally launched its Vivo NEX smartphones in China. Vivo NEX is priced at CNY 3,898 around ₹41,000 for the Snapdragon 710, 6GB RAM +128GB of internal storage variant. The Snapdragon 845 variant with 6GB+128GB is priced at CNY 4,498 ₹47,381 and  8GB RAM+ 256GB variant at CNY 4,990 around ₹52,648.

The Vivo Nex  is powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The other Vivo NEX is powered by the Snapdragon 710 processor coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It houses a 4,000mAh battery in a 6.59mm thin body.

Both the smartphones will run on Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box with FunTouch OS 4.0 on top. The Vivo smartphones will sport a 6.59-inch full HD+ full screen displays with thin bezels. The Vivo Nex S comes with the 3rd generation in-display fingerprint scanner which is 10% faster and 50% more accurate than the previous one.  and the fingerprint scanner is placed at the back on the standard variant.

Both the Vivo Nex smartphone sports a dual-rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The elevating front-facing camera is of 5-megapixel for taking selfies and video calling. As there is space in the front, the selfie camera will pop-out from the top of the smartphone to take photos or video calling.

The smartphone runs on Android Oreo out of the box with a new Energy UI on top. It comes with Vivo’s new Jovi AI assistant which the company claims can detect emotion. The other features of the Jovi Assistant include voice wake up, Text to speech, scene recognition and more.

Just like Bixby it supports in-app actions and comes with wide app support. And again just like Bixby it comes with a dedicated hardware button. Vivo has partnered with Tencent games to produce Vivo Game engine which will help in better gaming experience on the Vivo Nex smartphone.
