Xiaomi is all set to launch its next generation of tablet called the Mi Pad 4 along with the Redmi 6 Pro smartphone on 25th June 2018. Xiaomi has revealed quite a lot about the Mi Pad 4 via the teasers and a tipster has also revealed some important specifications about the smartphone.
Let’s start with the official teaser first, Xiaomi has posted a new poster on its Weibo account that shows that the Mi Pad 4 will come with the Facial Recognition technology. It also shows that the device will not come with a fingerprint scanner.
Xiaomi will use the same facial recognition technology that the company used with its latest flagship Xiaomi Mi 8. It uses the infrared sensors along with with AI technology to scan your face. While having a Facial recognition system is exciting, we wish if it could also have the fingerprint scanner.
Separately, according to the popular tipster slashleaks, Mi Pad 4 base variant will be priced at CNY 1,499 around ₹15,600 and will come with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This model will support WiFI only and the LTE model will come with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. While you can already see the Gold variant in the image there will also be a black variant.
The higher end variant will be priced at CNY 1,999 around ₹20,800. The tablet will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC and will have an 8-inch full HD display.
