After many leaks and rumors, Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi has finally launched its Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A smartphones in China. Xiaomi Redmi 6 is priced at CNY 799 around ₹8,499 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage variant. The 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage variant is priced at CNY 999 around ₹10,499.
Xiaomi Redmi 6A is priced at CNY 599 around ₹6,399. The smartphones will be available in China starting 10am CST on 15th June 2018, Friday. We can expect Xiaomi to launch the smartphone soon in India as the series is very popular in the country.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Specifications
Xiaomi Redmi 6 is powered by a 2Ghz MediaTek Helio P22 processor coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM. It will be interesting to see what Snapdragon processor Xiaomi will use for the Indian variant. It comes with 32GB/64GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD.
The smartphone sports a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with MIUI 9 on top. It comes with a horizontal dual-rear camera setup at the back with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and 5-megapixel secondary sensor.
The front-facing camera is of 5-megapixel and comes with the popular Face Unlock feature. The camera comes with AI capabilities and the smartphone uses micro-USB port for charging and data syncing.
Xiaomi Redmi 6A Specifications
Xiaomi Redmi 6 is powered by a 2Ghz Helio A22 processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It will be interesting to see what Snapdragon processor Xiaomi will use for the Indian variant as the company claims Helio A22 to be faster than the Snapdragon 425 processor.
The smartphone sports a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with MIUI 9 on top.
