Xiaomi Redmi Y2 First Sale Today – Everything You Need To Know

Last week, Xiaomi launched the successor to its popular Redmi Y1 smartphone in India called the Redmi Y2. Xiaomi Redmi Y2 is priced at ₹9,999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage variant and ₹12,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is the same smartphone launched in China as the Redmi S2.

It is available in Elegant Gold, Rose Gold and Dark Grey color variants. The smartphone will be available today at 12 Noon Via Mi.com and Amazon India. It comes with a bunch of launch offers including ₹500 instant discount on ICICI Credit and Debit cards, and Up to ₹1,800 cashback via Airtel 4G.

The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 smartphone is powered by Xiaomi’s favorite Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. It sports a 5.99-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio full screen display and runs on MIUI 9.5 based on Android Oreo.

The dual-SIM smartphone supports microSD (dedicated) card up to 256GB and houses a 3080mAh battery. Coming to the main USP of the smartphone, Redmi Y2/S2 sports a 16-megapixel AI selfie camera with 2-micron pixels. It comes with the popular face unlock feature along with AI portrait mode, AI beauty mode, and Front HDR mode.

Xiaomi is calling it the best Redmi selfie phone ever. The smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. It comes with a f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and a LED light. The rear camera also comes with the popular portrait mode.
