Sony also added that the Xperia Home Beta community will also be closed in a couple of weeks. This means either we will see a new launcher by Sony in their upcoming smartphones (unlikely) or Sony will finally move to the stock launcher available with Android.

Many companies have adopted to a stock interface and has received good response from the consumer. While this business decision will mainly be due to the extra cost added to develop new feature for the Xperia Home launcher. When customers are happy with stock launcher, there is no need to increase the cost.
