HMD Global owned Nokia is all set to launch its next X series of smartphone in China called the Nokia X5. After a successful launch of Nokia’s first smartphone with a display notch, Nokia X6, the company has now officially announced the arrival of its next Nokia X series smartphone.
Nokia Mobile posted a teaser image via its official Weibo account stating a new product launch on 11th July 8:00 pm China time and 5:30 pm IST. Nokia has used #NokiaX Series, confirming the launch of the rumored Nokia X5 smartphone. There have been many leaks about the smartphone in past.
Nokia X5 is expected to be priced at CNY 799 around ₹8,300 for the 32GB variant and CNY 999 around ₹10,400 for the 64GB of internal storage variant. The smartphone will sport a 5.86-inch HD+ TFT 19:9 aspect ratio display with a display notch at top.
Design wise, the smartphone will be same as the Nokia X6 with thinner bezels and premium design. The smartphone will be be powered by either a MediaTek P series or Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 series process. As the smartphone is rumored to launch globally, Snapdragon variant is expected, Snapdragon 636 hopefully.
In terms of storage configuration, it will come with 3GB/4GB and 6GB of RAM along with 32GB/64GB of internal storage variants. Nokia X5 will come with a dual-vertical camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor. The front-facing camera along with the Face Unlock feature will be of 8-megapixel.
It will house a 3,000mAh battery and will have a rear placed fingerprint scanner. Nokia is also expected to launch the Nokia X6 in India in July and some reports claim that Nokia X5 will be called Nokia 5.1 Plus globally. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for latest tech news, deals, reviews and more.
