Xiaomi is all set to launch its next Android One smartphone in India called the Xiaomi Mi A2. The Chinese smartphone maker launched the smartphone globally last week and will be launching it in India on 8th August 2018. The Mi A2 will be an Amazon India exclusive and will come with a bunch of launch offers. While the company has launched three variants globally we expect Xiaomi to launch only the 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage variant in India.
While the Xiaomi Mi A2 price in India will be revealed next week, the 4GB RAM +64GB of internal storage variant is priced at EUR 279 around ₹22,500. We expect Xiaomi to price the Mi A2 at around ₹18,999 in India. If in case Xiaomi decides to launch the 6GB RAM and 128GB variant too, it should be priced around ₹23,499.
XIAOMI MI A2 SPECIFICATIONS
Xiaomi Mi A2 is powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU and 4GB/6GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB/128GB of internal storage expandable via microSD. The smartphone sports a 5.99-inch full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with 2.5D curved glass protection on top. The dual-SIM smartphone runs on a stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo with fast software updates promise via the Android One program. It’s predecessor, Mi A1 has not been able to keep up with the promise but we can expect Xiaomi to improve that the Mi A2.
Mi 6X aka Mi A2 sports a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture and a 20-megapixel secondary sensor for the portrait mode and better low light performance. The same 20-megapixel camera is present at the front of the smartphone for selfies and video calling. The camera on the Mi A2 comes with many AI enhancements for better low light performance. The front-facing camera also supports the popular face unlock feature along with a rear placed fingerprint scanner in the middle. t houses a 3,010mAh battery and comes with support for Quick Charge 3.0.
