After launching the Xiaomi Mi 8 series in May 2018, Xiaomi is all set to another flagship smartphone called the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. Just like last year, the smartphone is expected to be launched in September and as we are coming close to the launch leaks and rumors have started.
According to a report by ITHome, Xiaomi is all set to take on Vivo and Oppo to get its highest scren-to-body ratio on a smartphone tag back. The report says that Xiaomi filed for a patent in 2015 for a pop-up selfie camera like on the Vivo Nex and the company is all set to bring it with the Mi Mix 3.
The camera module will also have an LED flash or selfie light for better low light selfies. Interestingly, according to the leaked images, the bottom bezel is just as thin as the side bezels. Bottom bezel is the only thick bezel on the Vivo and Oppo smartphone and if Xiaomi can get rid off that too, it would be amazing.
The rear side shows a dual vertical camera setup with an LED flash in the middle. There is no fingerprint scanner at the back which means we finally get to see an in-display fingerprint scanner smartphone from Xiaomi. As there is no notch we cannot expect a 3D facial recognition system here.
While there are not details about the specifications, we can safely say it will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For the rear camera, we think Xiaomi will stick to the same camera module as the Xiaomi Mi 8. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for latest tech news, deals, reviews and more.
