Apple has finally sent out official media invites for a special event on 12th September 2018. The event will take place at Steve Jobs Theater, Apple Park, Cupertino at 10 am PDT. According to the most of the leaks, Apple will launch three new iPhones this year – iPhone X Plus, iPhone XS (iPhone X successor) and a new entry-level iPhone. (iPhone SE 2).
The invite doesn’t reveal much as it comes with only a gold ring with all black background. Along with the 2018 iPhone models, Apple is expected to launch the much awaited entry-level MacBook and its wireless charging pad. The AirPods 2 were expect earlier but according to a report it will be launched at the 2019 iPhone event.
All the three iPhone models will run on Apple’s new A12 processor coupled with 3GB RAM on the LCD model and 4GB RAM on the OLED one. The 2018 OLED iPhones will come with 64GB/256GB and 512GB of internal storage and the 2018 LCD model will have 64GB/256GB of internal storage.
The OLED models will have a dual-rear camera setup like we have seen on the iPhone X and the LCD model will have a single rear camera. Just like the iPhone X, OLED models will be made out of stainless steel and the LCD model will have aluminium frame.
All the models will come with the display notch at top which will house sensors for the 3D Facial Recognition system or as Apple calls it Face ID. Lastly the LCD model will have a 2600-2700mAh battery, 5.8-inch OLED will have 2700-2800mAh battery and the higher end variant will have 3,300-3,400mAh battery.
