Last year, Facebook launched its YouTube-like feature called Facebook Watch in the US. Now after almost a year, the social-media giant is making Facebook Watch available globally. Facebook Watch is way for users to discover new videos and interact with friends, creators and fans via these videos.
To access Facebook Watch make sure you have the latest Facebook App for Android and iOS. Then look for Watch icon on your shortcuts bar or go to More bookmark. Facebook Watch is also available on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung Smart TV, Android TV, Xbox One and Oculus TV.
Just like on YouTube, Creators create content for Facebook Watch and people can watch, share, like and comment on their videos. You can save videos to watch them later and will get a personalised feed depending upon the pages you have liked and the type of videos you usually watch on the platform.
This is a great opportunity for creators too, you can signup for Facebook Ad Break program which is not yet available everywhere including India. There are some conditions too like having 10,000 likes on your Facebook page and more. Once the Facebook Ad break program is available everywhere, Watch can become a really good YouTube competitor.
Facebook says it has improved the overall experience over the past year and has made it more social. In the coming future, Facebook will also bring ways in which you can interact with video to change the content like joining watch parties, premieres and game shows.
