Honor 8X, 8X Max Launch on 5th September – Official

Huawei sub-brand Honor is all set to launch the successor to its popular Honor 7X smartphone called the Honor 8X. After many leaks and rumours, Honor has officially announced that the company will launch the Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max smartphones in China on 5th September 2018.

Honor posted about the launch via its official Weibo handle with a teaser image. These smartphones will join the highly competitive budget segment of smartphones and looking at the popularity of the Honor 6X and Honor 7X in India, we can surely expect Honor to launch the new smartphones in India soon.

Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max are expected to be powered by the Kirin 710 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Some leaks points towards the Snapdragon 660 processor instead of the in-house Kirin 710 chipset. It will also support microSD card up to 256GB.

According to the the TENNA listing, both the smartphones will come with the water drop notch styles display and thinner bezels. The notch will be similar to the one found on the essential phone and recent Oppo, Vivo smartphones. The Honor 8X Max will come with a larger display and both will be Full HD+ with 18:9 aspect ratio.

The Max in the Honor 8X is due to the massive 4,900 mAh battery. The smartphones will come with a dual-rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor to collect depth information.
